Badly Drawn Boy is back to his best with the wonderful soundtrack to Being Flynn, the new feature film from Paul Weitz, starring Robert De Niro and Paul Dano due for release in Spring 2012. Being Flynn is Badly Drawn Boy's eighth studio album and his third soundtrack, following About A Boy and Is There Nothing We Could Do?

X-ray scanners in the airport, artificial intelligence robots in each home… Sounds great when you’re getting a hand with the housework – not so great if you wake up at 3 in the morning to see the wife being probed by C3PO. One pair who aren’t afraid of technology are Manchester duo Hot Beat Repeat; formed in the spring of 2011, they use innovation, drums, guitar, a loop pedal and sheer talent to make the kind of sound you don’t hear everyday. After the dancing is over at their gigs it isn’t unusual to hear someone ask, ‘How do they do that?’ It’s fair to say they show the possibilities of man and machine...
